Yoko Higashi

Where are you now?

At home ←→ Garden

Where would you like to be?

At home ←→ Yokohama

What have you been doing lately?

Musical and physical training - cooking - internet - watching plants grow.

What can you hear right now?

Bird singing, drunk neighbors singing.

Are you taking advantage of this containment period to make music?

Finally, I’m seriously practicing the Biwa.

How will the world be after all this?

Lots of people wearing masks like during a “regular” winter in Japan, and then, support for local products.

How can we support the music community?

Via live streaming or by doing concerts where everybody (including the singer) wears a mask + a special mandatory blouse.

Five musical recommendations?

Cirques by Michèle Bokanowski
Grand Bruit by Christian Zanési
Un amour si grand qu'il nie son objet by Ghédalia Tazartès
Shield For Your Eyes - A Beast in the Well on Your Hand by Melt-Banana
Dans la montagne (Ki Ken Tai) by Lionel Marchetti

One book?

A Pasolini’s Anthology called Adulte? Jamais.

What will you do when you're out?

Working on some Tobi Ukémi on a big tatami!
